Your Support is Vital

Almost everything we use in our daily lives, from the food that we eat to the fuel we put into our cars, is brought to us on merchant vessels. The crews who make this possible are often at sea for many weeks with no sight of land, at the mercy of the elements, out of contact with their loved ones.

Seamen's Christian Friend Society provides spiritual, emotional and practical support to seafarers who visit our ports. Our work relies on your financial donations and bequests, as well as the items of clothing, food, toiletries and gifts you donate to us.

Please use this section to find out more about the work of the Seamen's Christian Friend Society or to contact us with your requests.

Seamen's Christian Friend Society has chaplains and helpers operating in many ports around the world. The Ports pages show where we are represented and tells you more about the hard-working individuals who bring God's Word to the global seafaring community. Many of our chaplains post recent newsletters here so this is a great place to see how your support makes a difference.
