Many will remember I have been praying for Jimmy, the Turkish seafarer who I have been in contact with over the last 3 or 4 years. Jimmy contacted me at the beginning of December to say he was back on board his ship again after being on vacation.
While on vacation Jimmy told his family about his new faith in Jesus. He was surprised by their reaction as they told him that they had noticed a change in him and wondered what was happening. Jimmy told them that he couldn't fully explain to them what was happening. But he said "Here is a Bible and the books that helped me. Read them and they will answer your questions regarding my change."
I have asked Jimmy to send them my e-mail address so that if they would like to contact me with their questions, I will try and answer them. Jimmy told me that while on vacation he was contacted by someone about going to church but because he didn't know him Jimmy wouldn't go. He was afraid that he would be going to the wrong church. Jimmy has also asked if I could help him find a suitable place for him to attend while he is back home in Turkey. Please pray with me that I maybe able to place Jimmy in a suitable church.
